The big shot

McKay tried his hand at baskbetball for the first time this season. He was on a very skilled and competitive team. They did very well and worked very hard. He improved alot during the season, but as the last game approached he still hadn't had a chance to score during a game. I pulled Lauren aside before we went into the gym and asked if we could say a little prayer that her big brother could score just once this season. Her prayer was answered. Later I told McKay that story to help build his testimony of prayer. I think it hurt his pride to think that angels helped make the basket rather than his skill and agility. He quitely commented, "I'm pretty sure I would have made it anyway". We're proud of you either way big guy.
