This year for my birthday I requested that instead of gifts I wanted everyone to present me with a talent show. They had to tell me their name, and say for your gift I will perform ballet etc., Then in Grandma Great style they had to come give me a big hug when they were through.
Emma and Sierra performed a ballet recital,
McKay did a magic trick,
Lauren demonstrated how to draw a butterfly,
Savannah did her amazing roll over,
and Russ played me a song on the piano.
We ended with a big Hokey Pokey number and family dance.

Russ also decorated the breakfast table with lots of streamers and balloons. He officially declared that in honor of my birthday it was going to be a two cans of orange juice morning. We are very tight with O.J. in our house, so that was very touching.
We have a birthday tradition that on my birthday I get to plan a family camping trip. Two years ago we went to the springs in Ocala National Forest, last year we went to Fort Wilderness and checked out the Disney campsite, and this year we are going to the Keys. Am I one lucky birthday girl or what.
