The other day McKay said, "mom, do you think any two people could be more different than Lauren and I". He started naming some of ways they are different:- McKay is a total morning person. You whisper, "Good Morning," and he jumps up, gets dressed and is full of energy. Lauren is a night person. When everyone else is wild and exhausted at night she is much more calm and able to concentrate.
- McKay loves to read books to himself. He reads very quickly, and always wants to read in his head. Lauren always wants to read books out loud. She conducts dramatic story time presentations in which her voice takes on all sorts of characters.
- McKay loves team sports. He loves the competition and the comradery. Lauren refuses to participate in any activity with others. She does great with one on one instruction and developing individual talents.
- Lauren loves to write. She is always found writing notes and letters and practicing different styles of penmanship. McKay finds writing a form of torture.
- Lauren is petrified of dogs, McKay begs for one every Christmas.
- McKay loves games of strategy and intellectual analysis. Lauren loves art and the humanities.
- McKay has brown hair, Lauren has blonde.
- The list could go on and on, but.....
They have the same eyes.
It's fun to see that even though they have been raised in a very similiar manner, they came from Heaven with their own unique personalities. They each have such wonderful unique gifts and talents. It would be so boring if all the children were exactly alike. I'm grateful each contributes different ingredients into our family soup to make us so spicy!!!
