Sierra is now 20 months old. She is pure joy. The other day I put a piture of water on the table for Emma to go water the flowers with. (Her daily chore). When Emma walked off into the other room, Si-Si pushed a chair over to the table, reached up to get the piture, lugged it over to the door, when I opened it, she went outside and watered the flowers. I guess she's ready to be added to the family chore chart.
She loves to be like her older siblings. She wants to be right in the thick of whatever they're doing.
The two talents I think she naturally has, are music and gymnastics. She loves to play the piano and immitates rhythm patterns when the older kids are practicing. She starts counting Du De Du De. Even when she was very young she would respond to music and wave her arms to the beat.
She is also extremely flexible and already likes to do somersaults and is always balancing herself on narrow little places.
Whether she chooses to develop these talents only time will tell. But as her mother, these are the natural abilities I see her displaying.
She says a few words theses days. No, hot, book, ma ma, and she does sign language for finished, more, please, water, book, and shoes. She also points and grunts alot.
There's something about when she smiles with her big blue eyes shining that still melts my heart. My favorite time of day is when I sing her a good night lullaby. She immediate nuzzles her head onto my shoulder and snuggles up.
Could anyone ever ask for a better Christmas present?
I'm so grateful she was sent to our family. A part of me knows that when we have a new baby she will graduate to fill a different role in our home. So, for these last few weeks I just want to snuggle her close and enjoy our little Sierra Noelle. She'll have plenty of time to grow up later.
