Our passion fuit are just about finished for the season. We've had a blast harvesting our bumper crop. Since most people have never had it before, it's been novel to serve passion fruit juice, pie, ice-cream, and jam when people come over. The best part of cutting them, scooping out the seeds, blending them, and straining them, is the heavenly smell that fills the house. There is no way to describe the aroma of passion fruit. Here's to hoping our lemons, oranges, grapefuit, guava, starfruit, and mango will someday follow suit and produce something.
