Manicure Mania

This week the long awaited for "cousin swap" took place. For a few days we had Danica at our house so McKay could spend some time with his "boy cousins". This meant some serious girl time for us. We scheduled our manicures first thing so that we wouldn't get too busy with a full schedule of tea parties and princess dress ups. First we soaked our hands (good things Sierra's arms are long, she couldn't wait for the pampering to begin) then we alternated being the "nail technician" or being the salon patron.

then, we had to touch up, remove, try a new color, mix colors, experiment with stripes etc etc.
But when all was said and done, I felt quite satisfied with my pedicure,
as did Sierra with her manicure. (We'll have to do this again at Halloween, it looks a little gory in this photo). She was very thorough, what can I say. There really is no rule that says you're supposed to stop at the nail.

I recently let mine do this alone with a friend who was over. I never let them do it by themselves but I was in a weak moment and said yes. I am now the proud owner of a honey pine/purple and magenta kitchen table.
