Snorkeling

We had a great experience snorkeling on our recent camping trip in the Florida Keys. The kids were a little nervous at first, but as soon as McKay put his mask in the water he said, "that was awesome". It looks like someone painted a post card in my mask." It was truly an amazing sight to see schools of fish swimming right around you. Lauren didn't enjoy the mask and snorkel, but the water was so clear she could just look down and see some fish. She was a trooper to get in and swim in the ocean with us. Russ had fun chasing a baracuda.

When we were driving down I realized that I had not packed my contacts, and was crushed to think that I wouldn't be able to snorkel. Then when we arrived they mentioned the waters had been too turbulent and they were cancelling many of the trips. But with a few small miracles, Meghan saw a sign that said corrective lense masks available, and the storm cleared, we were able to . We really appreciated Meghan watching the younger children so we could have such a memorable experience.
