There are some new traditions we've added to our holiday line up since we've moved to Florida. Sitting on the sandy shores of the inlet watching the Christmas boat parade is one of them. A line up of boats, from yachts to small fishing boats, are lit up, stocked with plenty of Santas and loud Christmas music and decorated in festive Florida style. There were lots of aligators pulling the sleigh and palm trees and dolphins instead of reindeer etc. It always amazes me that we can all sit in our shorts in the sand in the middle of December.

It was the end to a busy but wonderful Saturday. I woke up early and went for a run. Russ went on a church assignment to visit everyone we haven't seen for a while and let them know about the holiday services, then we had McKay's basketball game and Lauren had a birthday party to attend. It was our turn to clean the church and Russ donated blood to help out with a friend's Eagle Scout project. Luckily Jon hooked us up with some great snacks and we could finally just relax. We ended the night by going back to Jon's to watch some football games.
