One is Fun

Matthew had his first birthday last week.  Hard to believe his baby days are over.  He's a true toddler now.  He is very very curious.  The garbage can is his favorite place to discover new things.  He had a fun birthday with balloons and tomato soup cake.  (It tastes much better than it sounds)

McKay had his first performance with his orchestra, so that was a great present for Matthew.  I couldn't believe how well they did for only playing for about 3 months.

Matthew was just getting over being sick, so his eyes didn't twinkle as much as usual.  His appetite wasn't quite as hearty as normal either, but he did his best to dig in and please his older siblings who were hoping for a big mess.

Some memories I always want to keep are:
He loves to snuggle a blanket and suck his thumb when he's tired.
He loves to discover
His fluffy hair always standing up on end
He's a total daredevil, loves to be swung upside down - no fear - he'll roll down the stairs and just climb right back up them.
He loves to pull peoples hair, grab glasses, and bite - but with a loving smile
It's been so fun to have a baby boy in the house again.  I am reminded again and again of McKay's busy boy toddler days.  It's a great blessing to have such a sweet boy in our family.
