We had a great Father's Day this year. Russ got breakfast in bed. About a week ago I asked him what he wanted to eat on Father's Day. He mentioned he would like Monkey Bread. I forgot all about that and made him an omolet with toast on the side. When Lauren saw the toast she said, "I never knew that's what monkey bread looked like." Then it all came back to me. We decided to have that for lunch instead. Gracie loved climbing right up into the food and helping herself. We couldn't keep her off the breakfast tray. The children all made him little notes, and McKay put together a little power point presentation about why he loves his dad. It was a simple wonderful day.I feel so blessed to have Russ as the father of our children. His patient, calm, loving ways brings so much peace into our home. He is constantly thinking about our future and helping the children reach their potential. And he is a total nut. I love his silly stories and jokes. He is never afraid to tackle a challenge, and is so hard working and compassionate. My dream is for McKay to be just like his dad, and for my girls to have a loving, righteous, hardworking husband that makes them feel as much like a queen as Russ does for me.
