Happy Anniversary

One year ago, on our 10th Anniversary, Russ came home to a candlelight fondue dinner served our on our roof. I had painted I love Russ on the back wall of our home and gave him ten presents, representing the 10 attributes I loved best about him. The tenth being what a great dad his is. The present was a positive pregnancy test with an IOU for a baby to be born in October. He took me to the theater afterward and on the car ride home we planned a cruise to Alaska.
This year I had planned to make him a nice dinner, but after 7 hours of picking up kids from school, shuttling them to West Palm for piano lessons, and coralling them during basketball practice I was exhausted. After getting them all to bed, we had sparlking cider and corn dogs. I guess that's the great thing about a happy marriage - whether it's corn dogs or caviar, you can still feel the love. If anyone would have told me how wonderful these last 11 years would have been, I don't think I would have believed them. Being married to Russ has been the greatest blessing I have ever received. Everynight I thank Heavenly Father for the opportunity to be married to such a faithful, noble and righteous husband. And the fact that he is so good looking just makes it all that much better.

Then

and now.

I still remember your wedding day, being stuck in weird traffic at the point of the mountain...and missing it! We were so sad. I think your gifts last year were so sweet and this year, corn dogs - classic! Jen you look ever more radiant every year. Russ, look ever more "reflective!" :) Love you guys!
