Birthday Bliss

My birthday has lasted all month. Russ started a new tradition where he takes the day off of work and lets me have some time for myself. This year I went for a long run with a friend, then I got my hair cut and went to lunch with Russ and the little ones. After that Russ took the kids out of the house and gave me some time to work on projects like organizing recipes. We ended the day with the family lighting a milkshake for my birthday treat.

Then later in the month we celebrated with the sister's retreat. It was great to have Becca come from South Carolina for the event. My sister in laws always treat me so good. Unfortunately I had some difficulty downloading the pictures, but we had an elegant dinner that Suzanne made for us, then had facial mud scrubs. I was spoiled with lots of birthday presents, a Josh Grobin CD's, running shirt, and a Easter Bunny decoration. The next day we had a traditional shopping trip to Ross and Charming Charlies. Suzanne was an amazing host who spoiled us with lots of great food, soft bedding, and lots of love. I think my favorite part was just staying up late talking and sharing our lives.

A few days ago a friend dropped by with a box of Blue Bell strawberry cheesecake ice cream as a belated birthday gift. It really has been a full month of celebrating and feeling special.
