A few months ago I was trying to tackle a few things in the morning and asked Russ if he would cook up the pancakes. He had just woken up but willingly agreed to help. Our griddle is quite old, so we always have to put a good coating of no-stick spray before we cook on it. I heard him spraying away when Lauren said, "Dad, what are you doing" I looked over to see Russ spraying the griddle with Raid insect killer. He hadn't put on his glasses yet, so he just saw an aerosol can on the counter.
He got the last laugh though, because a month later my in-laws were visiting. My mother-in-law was planning a little project to spruce up a nightstand and had put a can of white spray paint on the counter. When I was in a hurry to make some corn bread I grabbed it and started spraying the glass dish. It took me a few minutes to realize why the butter looked so white. I did have my glasses on, so I don't know what my excuse was.
