Icing on the Cake

For me, the best part of our weekend was not shaking hands with the BYU football players and their coach nor was it was seeing one of the most famous cities in the world. The icing on the cake for our fabulous weekend was seeing my cousin Vickie.
Unlike Russ who has 61 cousins, I have 5. They are spread out and it is rare that I get a chance to see any of them in person. When I realized we would be just one hour away from Vickie I was so excited to think I might get to sneak in a quick visit. She spoiled us with what Emma called, "the best snack I have ever had". Fresh fruit, homemade cookies, banana bread, and cut up veggies.
Vickie is one of the most incredible people I know. You can't leave her home without feeling inspired, uplifted and loved. She is incredibly spiritual and selfless. I really enjoyed catching up with her and visiting with her son Chad and granchildren Ethan and C.J. They live on a beautiful piece of land in Mississippi that is very peaceful and serene, it really was hard to leave.

Thanks Vickie for your great hospitality.
