Look Mom, No training wheels

We went on a walk this afternoon, and McKay asked if he could ride his bike. This prompted Lauren to also want to ride her bike, but her training wheels were all bent, so we told her she could only bring her bike if she would ride it without the training wheels. Easy enough. We took them off, and she rode off into the sunset. I had been dreading taking them off, because I thought that would commit me to hours of running after her holding onto her bike seat. If I'd only known how ready she was, I would have done this months ago. It's fun to see the confidence it has given her to have a new skill under her belt.
