Gingerbread Party

It's that time of year again. When the house smells like molasses and nutmeg all swirled together. This year we encouraged each of the children to invite one friend from school that they wanted to go to know better. It was fun to make some new friends and get to know some neighbors better. Our latest plan is that the kids pick 10 pieces of candy from Halloween, then the rest I hide until Gingerbread house day. It was fun for the kids to sort through all their candy and decide how it could best be used on their houses. We stayed up for hours the night before dreaming of what we could do to our houses this year. In the end they mostly just piled on as much candy as could fit, but it was fun none the less.
