McKay's week of Celebration

McKay will always remember his eighth birthday as one party after another. On Saturday he had his biggest party ever with over 15 friends from his 2nd grade class. It was an Indiana Jones theme with treasure hunts, buried relics, and obstacle courses. He got a boatload of presents, including every Indiana Jones game, action figure, lego set etc. He also got over 100 dollars in gift certificates to book and toy stores. Then on Tuesday he had a class graduation, his school only goes to the 2nd grade, so he's off to a new school. We brought a big cake to celebrate both his birthday and graduation. Then Wednesday we had a family party with Jon & Meghan and family. We made our traditional meatloaf frosted with mashed potatoes cake. Then we had McKay's new favorite dessert - cookie pie. The next Sunday was his baptism (see next blog). We were blessed to have lots of neighbors, friends, and coworkers attend. So, if he ever expresses that he has been deprived, please feel free to ignore him. The only bad news is that all this excitement happend during the week our camera broke.
