Matthew's Blessing

Last month we went to Austin to see our nephew Dallin receive his Eagle. We decided it would be the perfect opportunity to bless Matthew with all our family already gathered together.


Deb and Dave were gracious enough to let us use their living room for the occasion.


I was especially grateful my niece Jordan, who is attending UT Austin could come for the special occasion.


Matthew really has been such a blessing in our lives. Every time I look at him a wave of joy passes through me. He is so patient and easy going. He just seems to be a custom fit to our family. A little part of him reminds me of each of the older children. Russ says he has my toes, his eyes reminds me of Sierra, his hair of Lauren, his expressions of McKay, his laugh of Emma. He has Gracie's smile and his Daddy's loving and patient temperament. He's definitly a Shurtz, and we're so happy he joined our family.
