The BlueBell fun run did not let us down this year. There was all you could eat icecream available before the race even began. Savannah-Grace had a hard time deciding.
When we got there, we realized we had forgotten the handle to our stroller. This and the fact that Gracie wanted to be held instead of stay in the stroller, and the other girls kept changing their mind whether they wanted to walk or be pushed, made it an interesting run. Lets just say I didn't break any personal best records.
McKay trained quite a bit for the race. He would wake up early with train with me and my running friend. That, and trying to keep up with his super speedy cousin Drew made it an all time best 5K for McKay, he finished it in just under 25 minutes. When I had registered the kids I was in a big hurry and inadvertantly cirlced "female" when I was registereing McKay. So, in the female under ten division he was the 1st place champion, I'm sure his cousins will razz him about that for some time.

Since we love to run and we love ice-cream, it was a great day. Not to mention that Brenham is a super quaint farming town. We ran by farms filled with fields of blue bonnets and wild flowers galore. Everytime Emma and I needed a little extra energy we would stop and smell the flowers for a little extra burst. It was unbelievably beautiful.
