A Memorable Family Home Evening

Some wonderful friends invited us over for Family Home Evening last week. We agreed that they would provide the activity if we provided the treat. That might have been the best deal we have ever made. I would gladly trade a plate of snickerdoodles for this anyday. We started with all getting a chance to go for a ride on Sisco, a very gentle, and very accomodating horse.

Then they let us ride on their 250 foot zip line. Too cool for words.
They even harnessed up Sierra so she could get in on the adventure.
then we hiked down
some stairs they had recently built to make the river in the backyard more accessible. A fun boat ride ended the night.

We are so blessed to have such generous friends. They recently bought this home on a large piece of property in the hopes that they can create the perfect "grandparent" house. Since our kids had more fun there than they had as Disneyworld, I think they have succeeded. Oh, I forgot to mention, their dog even does tricks. An idea Lauren started warming up to.

What a great experience - yes, that is the perfect grandparent house...if all kids could be so lucky to have grandparents (or at least friends) like that!
