Mothers Day 2009

Russ has always spoiled me on Mothers Day. I'm always treated like a queen with breakfast in bed, flowers and chocolates. This year might top them all though. On Mother's day Russ flew me out on a 5:00 a.m. airplane, met me at my terminal, and drove me to see this.

It really was a gift from the heart, because Russ spent hundreds of hours researching neighborhoods, schools, commute times, different ward buildings, etc. For weeks and weeks I would find him asleep at the computer where he had been pulling up every listing he could find trying to find the perfect home for our family. The best part about this house is that my view out the front window is the elementary school. It was such a special day to have Russ show me around our new neighborhood, meet our new church family, and dream of our future. Oh, and for the record, he even made me lunch in bed.

And where is this beautiful new house? I have not figured that part out yet! We are curious to know. Shoot us an email...mmsimpson(at)cox(dot)net.

Did you have any input in choosing it? Or did he select on his own? My grandma tells me often of when my Grandpa chose their house for a big move out of state in 1963. All the things he reassured her it had (like a laundry room, large kitchen, big bathrooms,...it did not! LOL! At least the internet helps with that now...

Really, it is gorgeous. Happy Mother's day indeed!
