Then the hunt began.
We all had more candy then we knew what to do with.
Another Easter tradition that we love is dying eggs with old silk ties. We wrap up the eggs and boil them in vinegar and water, then unwrap the silk and the pattern has transferred on. So cool looking.
This year we tried extra hard to focus on the resurrection of the Savior all week long. Every morning we read from the life of the Savior's last week during family scripture study. On Friday we attended a Good Friday worship service at a local baptist church. It was a beautiful sermon with lovely music by their worship team. The only semi-stressful part was that it wasn't until things were already started that we realized that there were no other young children in attendance. So every little peep our children made was pretty obvious. I was begging, bribing, and pleading for divine intervention to keep the kids reverent - but in the end it was a beautiful way to remind us all of the atonement and death of our Lord and Savior.
